This contract position runs through the current school year, ending June 6, 2025, with full-time hours of 37.5 per week. The role requires a Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education, with several focus areas accepted including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or the Academic & Behavioral Strategist License. This position is strictly onsite.
Responsibilities Include
- Serving as a secondary resource teacher supporting students with mild to moderate special education needs
- Providing instruction either in elementary or secondary settings within Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) self-contained classrooms
- Acting as a districtwide substitute capable of covering resource and self-contained special education classes across K-12 grade levels
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license in at least one of the specified categories
- Experience working with diverse special education populations, including students with EBD and other disabilities
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively while adapting to changing classroom environments
- Proven skills in instructional strategies tailored to students with developmental and behavioral needs
- Flexibility to serve in multiple school locations and grade levels within the district
